Drum roll please...my first post.

So, like everyone else in the world, I think I am interesting enough to start my own blog. It seems so narcissistic, doesn't it? And yet, here I am, thinking I have something amazingly insightful to offer that everyone would like to view everyday. Seems plausible to me:)

All kidding aside, I am hoping this is an outlet for me. This is a way for me to catalog my creative inspiration. I am a graphic designer by day and I love to scour thrift stores, antique stores, flea markets and craigslist by night. I enjoy the hunt for found objects that I can repurpose and revive for my home and for my art. I think my love for antiques comes from growing up in a fabulous 100-year-old home and watching my parents rehab it and furnish it with lovely antique pieces and nostalgic items from their parents and their childhood. I'm not going to lie, it also comes from my thrifty nature and not wanting to spend the money on high design pieces.

Some of my posts will be things I have redone. Some will be inspiration. Some will be deals I have found that I think would be worth transforming and updating.

I will start my first post off by sharing a recent find on craigslist that I am coveting right now. Jeremy (my husband) and I are getting ready to redo our bathroom. Yes, we only have 1 bathroom in our 2 bedroom house, so we hope it isn't too painful of a process.

I wish our bathroom was large enough to accommodate this fabulous claw foot bathtub. I am swooning over the detail of the hardware. Enjoy! Maybe in our next house.

You can find this for sale here.

Here are some inspiring bathrooms from apartment therapy that are using clawfoot tubs. If this is a bit too old school for you, the painted base gives it a fresh and modern look. You can see more here and here.

Or this, smaller tub is a lot more affordable and I wouldn't feel as bad painting the base. You can find this tub here.
